Advanced Seminar (2022 edition)

V edition of the 2-day Advanced seminar on international extradition and the practice of the European Arrest Warrant now rescheduled to June 27-28, 2022.

The international Extradition expert group met again in Italy in June 2022 to investigate current worldwide developments in extradition law, with a specific focus on the impact of COVID 19 on extradition across the globe.

The seminar was once again a unique opportunity to learn about current developments in extradition law. It is open to practitioners as well as law professors and researchers with an interest in mutual cooperation in criminal matters, as well as Human Rights, Criminal justice and Comparative law broadly.

Recent famous extradition cases were reviewed, alongside with the most popular lines of argument that are raised in extradition cases (Human rights violation, excessive punishment, undue delays, passage of time, double criminality, etc)
Please note that presenters in the 2022 seminar includes famous extradition lawyers engaged in the most high-profile extradition cases in the world. In the past editions, presenters included Mark Summers an English Barrister who appears on a regular basis in extradition cases, including Assange v. Sweden in 2012, Thomas Wahl, a German expert on the European Arrest Warrant, Gregoire Mangeat from Switzerland, Paul Bekaert, who represented Catalan leader Charles Puidgemont before the Belgian courts, Ned Aughterson from Australia,  Anand Doobay from the UK , Stefano Maffei  from Italy and many others.
Admssion to the seminar was limited as usual to 20 participants, to maximise interaction and one-to-one contact with experts and presenters.
